Photoshop CS6 brings in a new feature in the Color Range. What’s new is when you go to Color Range: Select > Color Range or Color Range button in the Options bar with one of the selection tools selected, you’re going to see a new option that makes selection based on skin tones:

Photoshop CS6Welcome to the fourth video on New Features in Adobe Photoshop CS6! I hope you enjoyed previous videos, as promised last week I’m creating one video each day on something new in Photoshop CS6 and I have done three videos so far.

This time, I’ll talk about Content-Aware Patch, or to put it more clearly – a new Content-Aware feature in the Patch Tool. You know Patch Tool and my guess is that you have been using this tool for quite a while, but know it comes with Content-Aware!

Photoshop CS6 New Features – No.3 – Blur Filters

Photoshop CS6Welcome to the third video in the series on new features in Adobe Photoshop CS6.

Today, we’re talking about new Blur Filters in Photoshop CS6. There are three of them:

  • Field Blur, Iris Blur and Tilt-Shift.

All these filters are grouped in the Blur Filter category. One of the great new features in these filters that you are going to love is that you can adjust the filters right on the image! Excellent feature, very impressive!

Iris Blur filter will simulate selective focus in the image, so that you can use it to keep one area of the image in focus and then set the other area to be blurred.

Today, we’re talking about the changes in the User Interface in Photoshop CS6.The user interface has changed with a new colour scheme and icons that changed as well. For the first time, as far as I remember, Photoshop user interface got a complete redesign and now it’s dark, almost black when you launch Photoshop CS6.
