Photoshop CS6 New Features – No.9 – Video Support

April 12th, 2012

Photoshop CS6 new video featuresPhotoshop CS6 expands video support, there are many changes here. The support for video files have been expanded.

Some of the new features are the ability to add sound tracks as well as mute them and creating transitions and fades, a bit like in Premiere Pro. All the usual edits in Photoshop can be performed on a video file as well.

Importing and exporting of video files is now handled by Adobe Media Encoder (you probably now Media Encoder from Flash).

I was also told that video features in Photoshop CS6 will be available in both versions: Standard and Extended, not in Extended only like in Photoshop CS5, which is a great news for all Photoshop users! :-)

Enjoy watching the video I have recorded for you! ;-)

Get started with Adobe Edge – Part 1

April 10th, 2012

Adobe EdgeYou may have heard about Adobe Edge – a new web motion and interaction design tool that allows designers to bring animated content to websites, using web standards like HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3.

Edge is an intuitive tool for creating animated, interactive content that runs beautifully on mobile devices and modern browsers. It features an easy to use interface, with a properties-based timeline for impeccable accuracy and control. Create new compositions, import and animate web graphics, or add motion to existing HTML files without compromising integrity. Also, Edge works natively with HTML to ensure compatibility with existing workflows.

I thought I would record a seres of videos on Edge and today I want to share with you the first video in the series to get you started.

I do remember about my videos on new features in Photoshop CS6 and later today I will be recording the next video in the series and will upload it as well.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.1 now available

April 3rd, 2012

Lightroom 4.1Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.1 Release Candidate is now available as a public download from the Adobe Labs.

Because it’s a “Release Candidate” it means that it has been tested and it is almost ready for “production”.  It is being release as a Release Candidate so that the users could test it and provide feedback before it ships.

Here’s what’s new in Lightroom 4.1:

New camera support:

  • Canon EOS 5D Mark III

Fixed Issues:

  • Lightroom 4 did not properly open external applications when using the “Edit In” functionality.
  • Point Curve adjustments made in Lightroom 3 have been restored.
  • Addressed performance issues in Lightroom 4, particularly when loading GPS track logs, using a secondary monitor, and the controls within the Develop module.
  • Ability to update DNG previews and metadata for more than 100 photos has been restored.
  • This update allows for improved viewing of subfolders and stacks in folders with a large number of photos.
  • It was possible that a layout of a saved book could be lost after quitting Lightroom 4

Lightroom 4.1 Release Candidate can now be downloaded from Adobe Labs website. Here’s a link:
