New Lens Correction on Photoshop Lightroom TV

Tuesday, December 14th, 2010

Photoshop Lightroom TVUse the new Lens Correction filter with profiles in Photoshop CS5 to remove distortions in your images automatically.

Watch the latest episode of Photoshop Lightroom TV to find out how to do it easily.

Learn to Master Lens Correction in Photoshop by following step by step while watching Photoshop Lightroom TV. Here is the link if you haven’t watched it yet:

Photoshop Lightroom TV – Episode 23.

What else will you find in the latest Episode? A review of a great new book from Adobe – “3D in Adobe Photoshop” – a review I promised earlier.

Also, I am sharing with you a great tutorial on using Content Aware Fill with panoramas. Very often when you create a panorama (using Photomerge in Photoshop), there will be places in your composite where some bits and pieces will be missing – usually on the top and on the bottom, especially if you don’t use a tripod.

Watch Episode 23 to find out how to deal with that! Here’s the link again:

Enjoy! :-)

3D in Photoshop Book

Thursday, November 18th, 2010

3D in PhotoshopGood morning to you,

I have just received the new book from Zorana Gee and Pete Falco – “3D in Photoshop“. I am going to get deep inside the book and you can expect a review of the book from me very soon.

It looks to be a fantastic book and 3D in Photoshop is an amazing feature (in Photoshop CS5 Extended). There are a few contributors to the book, f.ex. Bert Monroy – I mentioned Bert a number of times in PhotoshopLightroomTV and in the blog here as well.

Just to give you a quick overview of the book, there is a chapter on Scene (Ch.1), Rendering (CH.2) – the first two chapters deal with Introducing to 3D concepts, and then it moves into 3D in Photoshop!

I will share with you more details quite soon so please stick with me. For now, you can watch a tutorial where I share some information about 3D perspective. Here is the link to the tutorial:

3D Depth-of-Field in Adobe Photoshop.

Have fun! :-)

Brand new book from Adobe team

Tuesday, November 9th, 2010

Photoshop Lightroom TVGood morning,

I hope you enjoyed your weekend. We’re back to business as they say! ;-)

In this week’s episode of PhotoshopLightroomTV I am reviewing a new book from Adobe team. The book is authored by Adobe Press and it’s called – “Adobe Photoshop CS5 Classroom in a Book” – an excellent book from the “Classroom in a Book” series.

Photoshop CS5 Classroom in a BookThis book is a part of an official training series from Adobe and I use this book on my Photoshop courses – all the delegates on my Photoshop courses receive this book, so they could return to the book after the training to refresh their memory. The book was created with the support of Adobe product experts and the lessons are designed to help you learn at your own pace.

I strongly recommend this book – watch the review here:

Photoshop Lightroom TV – Episode 18.

If you want to purchase the book, here is the link to the Adobe Press website where you can find out more and purchase the book:  Adobe Photoshop CS5 Classroom in a Book from Adobe Press.

Enjoy! :-)

Bank Holiday and new Photoshop Book

3D in Photoshop CS5 book

Good day to everyone,

Today is a bank holiday here in the United Kingdom so my post today will be short. :-)

We are enjoying our long weekend, I hope those of you who live in the UK are doing the same. Because of bank holiday, Photoshop Lightroom TV will go live tomorrow, thank you for your patience.

I have just spotted a new book from Focal Press worth noting :

3D in Photoshop
The Ultimate Guide for Creative Professionals
by By Zorana Gee.

This is the first book of its kind that shows you everything you need to know to create or integrate 3D into your designs using Photoshop CS5 Extended. Remember that only the Extended version has 3D so you will need Photoshop CS5 Extended (you will have it if you have CS5 Design Premium or Web Premium or Master Collection).

It looks like  a great book and I will definitely get it! Make sure you check it out before I do! ;-)

Here is the link to the website where you can find out more about the book –  3D in Photoshop – Focal Press.
